The TVRS Group is a community-based organisation that provides expertise and family support for children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour living in Barking and Dagenham and the surrounding boroughs.

We support independence by providing high-quality residential care and short breakS provision tailored to their needs. A child-centred planning approach is integral to our ethos and culture.

The services provided by TVRS Group include Ofsted registered residential accommodation, which comprises of a one mixed 5-bed unit and one mixed 4-bed unit, one mixed adult unit and an Activity Centre that provides a day service called -The Vine Kidz.
The Vine Kidz provides morning session - children not in formal education, after school and weekend sessions, as well as holiday time activities for up to 10 children depending on the staff-to-child ratio. All our services are tailored specifically for children and young people aged 7 -18 years.

We work in partnership with families, the local community, the third sector organisations and local authority multi-disciplinary professionals, to ensure the participation and inclusion of children and young people in the care and support services that they access.

The TVRS Group leadership and management team led by Managing Director - Audrey Joseph is suitably qualified and experienced in maintaining a stable, professional and fully trained workforce. Staff are trained to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. As part of our safer recruitment process, all staff are registered on the criminal records disclosure update service.

Management Team

The background of the TVRS Group management team reflects health and social care, education and industry expertise.

Our team is comprised of registered social workers, former Ofsted inspectors, accountants, safeguarding leads, residential care and human resource specialists, all bringing a wealth of industry expertise and knowledge.

Staffing & Recruitment
  • The team varies in its expertise: It includes social care workers and support staff with significant experience in children’s services.
  • All our staffs are provided with regular training and monthly supervision
  • All our staff have completed an enhanced criminal records disclosure (DBS) and provided 2 years of references taken up before they are offered training.
  • TVRS’s staff induction training begins before the applicant is placed at the home/center to ensure that they have sufficient skills and knowledge to carry out their duties to support young adults with their independence.
  • Our staff work effectively as multi-disciplinary support team.
  • There is enough flexibility in staffing numbers to respond to young adults' changing needs.
  • Our recruitment practice strives to maintain the full staffing complement.
  • Staff are required to hold the NVQ level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification as a minimum.
  • We have a clear management structure that will work effectively to support services for young adults.
